As you said: she's a 20-something. She's not navigating anything, she's surviving. Maybe when she's older, maybe in her 30s, she'll be able to take a stand and, if not change the world, at least change her existence just a little bit. Maybe she'll be able to walk out and join her friend's project when she's 40. But right now, I'm glad that she doesn't get to change the world, because neither do we. She does her imperfect best in a crappy world, and that's exactly why she's so relatable.
